Unless a product-specific notice says otherwise, all TrueTopo web properties and applications rely on the same legal framework described here. That includes, but is not limited to:
TrueTopo provides geospatial information and mapping tools for planning and analysis. Map content is not an authoritative source for navigation, land status, or legal property boundaries. Users must independently verify all information before relying on it in the field.
Outdoor activities in Alaska and similar regions involve inherent risks including terrain, weather, wildlife, and remoteness. TrueTopo is not responsible for decisions made in the field or outcomes of trips planned using our products.
Land ownership and resource datasets (including mining claims) are derived from public sources that may lag or be incomplete. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not represent current legal status.
While source datasets may be public, TrueTopo’s compiled vector tiles, PMTiles archives, and derivative products are proprietary. Unauthorized scraping or redistribution of compiled datasets is not allowed.
